Sorry...

What I love about the Information Age is that when you want to find out more about the seemingly smallest of subjects, a few clicks of the mouse and decent spelling ability can get you far. Unfortunately, it also expediates these stories into soundbites, poorly written articles and conclusion-jumping blogs that provide little substance.

That said, it has put me in a bit of a bind in terms of developing ADverse Reaction at the moment. Yes, nearly two months ago, I set out to give insights on what is a challenging and compelling industry based on my experiences and faintest knowledge so far. While I still plan to do so, right now is not the best of times. It's a little something called overtime.

The initial plan was to throw a few thoughts on here from time to time to not only share a second passion of mine, but to supplement some of my freelance work in sports - including A Sports Scribe. That will still happen, yet I rather take the time to develop this blog with quality than immediate quantity. My work on Scribe is extremely important to me, even if the audience is small at the moment. Building a readership with that, along with the 9-5:30 have taken a majority of my focus at this time. Without those, AD-R will just become another breeding ground for poor writing and inconsistent updates.

At some junction in the next two months, AD-R will be a smoothly running blog. This may help me pass the time between the end of the NFL season and the start of baseball, but it will also come when there is some sort of solution to the writers' strike (or a dreaded continuation) that lingers over media as well as the ad shops. It will also come as I continue to grow into my position. You can't learn it all when you just started in August.

In the meantime, feed the beast, if you will.
